Here are some brief guidelines for parents
Please note that Electronic games and paraphernalia (Gameboy, Walkman, etc.) are not permitted on Cub Scout Outings. The idea is to get them away from that stuff and interested in the world around them. Leave the technology home!

Scouts need a "Whitiling Chip" card, which certifies that they have passed a knife safety test, in order to carry a pocket knife. Sheath knives are never permitted. Check with your Den Leader before sending your son with a knife to any event.

Remember, scouting can be likened to independant study. No homework tonight? Read your son's Cub Scout manual, and see if you can meet any of the requirements during your regular family activities. You are your son's study partner here.
